The STIHL FSA 60 R is a high-performance battery-powered grass trimmer ideal for tackling demanding mowing, trimming, edging, and light clearing tasks in medium to large home gardens. As part of the STIHL AK System, this tool is engineered for performance and ease of use, offering low noise operation, a long service life, and consistent power delivery – all without disturbing nearby residents.
 
At its core, the FSA 60 R features intelligent electronics that ensure full power is maintained throughout the battery charge. Unlike many battery-powered tools where performance declines as the battery discharges, this trimmer delivers consistent cutting power from start to finish. It also features regenerative braking, which recovers energy when the throttle is released and feeds it back into the battery, extending runtime.
 
Supplied as standard with the AutoCut C 6-2 mowing head, which can be reloaded without tools, the FSA 60 R is also compatible with two optional heads:
PolyCut 6-2, fitted with polymer blades for general grass trimming.
DuroCut 5-2, ideal for denser vegetation and light scrub using serrated line segments.
 
The tool is equipped with a soft-grip control handle featuring a speed adjustment dial, giving you full control over the mowing head’s performance during use. The aluminium shaft provides robust durability while remaining lightweight, and the adjustable loop handle allows the working height to be tailored for maximum comfort. A metal spacer bracket is also integrated to help trim precisely around trees, posts, and garden features without damaging them.
 
With the AK 20 battery, the FSA 60 R delivers up to 30 minutes of runtime, and the battery also acts as a well-balanced counterweight, improving tool control and overall ergonomics.
