The MSA 80 C-B is a compact yet powerful battery-powered chainsaw, developed specifically for homeowners and domestic woodcutting tasks. It’s the first chainsaw in the STIHL AK System to be fitted with a 14" guide bar, making it perfect for a wide range of jobs including cutting firewood, pruning branches, woodworking, and even felling small trees up to 25 cm in diameter.
 
This saw features a brushless EC motor for improved efficiency and durability, and its output is comparable to the petrol-powered MS 162 and battery-powered MSA 160 C-B from the AP System. It delivers 30% more cutting power than the MSA 70, with only a 200g increase in weight — making it one of the best power-to-weight ratios in the AK System.
 
Comfort and control are built into every detail: a new improved ergonomic rear handle with an integrated Ergo lever enhances comfort and safety. The trigger system with potentiometer function gives you fine control over chain speed for working precisely across different materials and angles. The saw is also equipped with Quick Chain Tensioning, allowing you to adjust the chain tool-free, and a transparent oil tank so you can easily monitor lubrication levels.
