The STIHL FSA 120 is a high-performance battery-powered brushcutter designed for professional users tackling demanding mowing, trimming, and clearing tasks. Built as part of the STIHL AP System, it combines powerful cutting performance with low noise operation, making it ideal for use in noise-sensitive environments such as schools, hospitals, residential areas, and public spaces.
This model is supplied as tool only, without battery or charger, making it an ideal choice for users already invested in the STIHL AP battery platform.
Powered by a highly efficient brushless EC motor, the FSA 120 delivers strong cutting performance with minimal maintenance requirements and a long service life. STIHL’s intelligent electronics provide Constant Power, ensuring the tool maintains full performance throughout the battery charge instead of gradually losing power as the battery depletes.
The FSA 120 features an ergonomic bike handle, designed for comfortable sweeping motions when cutting large areas of tall grass or weeds. The handle position can be adjusted quickly without tools using the central clamping system, and rotated 90° for easier transport and compact storage.
The control handle includes two power settings:
- Level 1 (Eco mode) for lighter trimming work and extended battery runtime.
- Level 2 (Full power mode) for thicker vegetation and tougher cutting conditions.
The machine also intelligently detects the cutting attachment being used and automatically adjusts operating speed for optimum performance. Supplied with a GrassCut 230-2 metal blade and double shoulder harness.
The FSA 120 is also compatible with additional STIHL cutting attachments including:
- TrimCut
- DuroCut
- PolyCut
- AutoCut
Designed for professional daily use, the FSA 120 features IPX4 splashwater protection, meaning it can be used reliably even in wet weather conditions.
It is also compatible with STIHL connected via the optional Smart Connector, allowing operating hours and maintenance schedules to be tracked through the STIHL connected app.
