The STIHL FUNCTION Ergo trousers (Class 1*, Design A**) are durable and flexible chainsaw trousers designed for entry-level and occasional forestry work. Made from hard-wearing materials, they combine reliable cut protection with practical comfort features for working with a chainsaw.
The trousers feature elastic stretch inserts in key movement areas, helping to provide greater freedom of movement and comfortable wear while working. Breathable material helps wick excess body heat and moisture away from the wearer, while adjustable ventilation openings with zips allow additional airflow when required.
Integrated Class 1 cut protection is certified in accordance with EN ISO 11393 and is designed for chain speeds of up to 20 m/s under standard test conditions. The Design A protection area covers the front of the lower body and extends around the rear of the left leg.
For additional durability when working in demanding environments, the FUNCTION Ergo trousers feature reinforced knees as well as waterproof material and thorn protection. Reflective areas help improve visibility in low-light conditions and when working in the forest.
The trousers include a range of practical pockets for carrying everyday work essentials, including two front slit pockets with zips. They are constructed from a polyester and cotton outer fabric and are available in sizes XS to XXL.
The FUNCTION Ergo trousers are also awarded the KWF Standard quality mark.
* Class 1 cut protection is tested at a chain speed of 20 m/s.
** Design A trousers provide cut protection to the front of the legs and an additional 5 cm around the rear of the left leg, in accordance with EN ISO 11393.
