The TSA 300 is a 12” (300 mm) battery-powered cut-off machine in the STIHL AP System. It’s exceptionally easy to handle thanks to its compact and well-balanced design and is designed for professionals working in construction, hardscaping and pipework – making it an ideal choice for processing materials such as bricks, paving stones, natural stone, concrete, reinforced concrete and rebar.
 
Fitted as standard with a composite resin cutting wheel, the TSA 300 has strong cutting performance, and for longer or more intensive jobs it is recommended to fit it with a D-SB90 diamond cutting wheel. Thanks to its narrow cutting kerf, the TSA 300 delivers cutting performance comparable to the STIHL TS 410 petrol cut-off machine, with a maximum cutting depth of 4.3" (110 mm). The lack of engine vibrations increases precision, allowing for accurate results throughout the cut.
 
The TSA 300 is fitted with a powerful low-maintenance EC motor which operates almost wear-free, is quiet and has smooth running with low vibrations. Intelligent CONSTANT POWER electronics ensure consistently high cutting performance throughout the entire battery charge. The tool also features POWER BOOST functionality when used with compatible batteries, temporarily providing maximum possible power for demanding applications while protecting long-term battery life.
 
To extend service life, the TSA 300 is fitted with a STIHL magnetic filter that passes cooling air through several magnets, intercepting ferromagnetic particles before they reach the motor. These magnets can be quickly removed for cleaning. Semi-automatic STIHL belt tensioning ensures consistent belt tension, extending the life of both the belt and bearings.
 
For improved safety and efficiency, the TSA 300 features a fast-stop brake: when the trigger is released, the cutting wheel is brought to a standstill in less than 4 seconds. The braking process also recuperates energy back into the battery, increasing operating time.
 
The TSA 300 is fitted with a cast magnesium guard, reinforced with stainless steel, which integrates a water channel. This protects the operator, diverts cutting debris effectively, and provides a clear view of the wheel while remaining lightweight and robust. A dosable water connection directly on the machine makes wet cutting easy and efficient for dust suppression and cooling.
 
A clear LED display panel on the handle provides information such as operating speed and overheating warnings, while large, clearly marked controls make operation straightforward. With IPX4 splashwater protection, the TSA 300 is designed for use even in rainy conditions.
 
As a battery-powered cut-off machine with zero emissions, the TSA 300 can also be used indoors. It is compatible with the STIHL Smart Connector 2 A, which transmits valuable usage data to the STIHL connected App and Portal when installed.
 
The TSA 300 must be used with the AP 500 S battery for maximum performance. If used with an AP 200 S or AP 300 S, there will be a reduction in performance. On a full charge with the AP 500 S, the TSA 300 has a working time of 20 minutes.
