The STIHL anti-vibration system makes the saw more comfortable to use during long periods of work by significantly reducing vibrations transmitted to the hands and arms. The compensator carburettor system helps maintain constant engine performance and fuel efficiency, even as the air filter becomes dirty, reducing the frequency of maintenance intervals.
Everyday operation is straightforward thanks to the single-lever combi control with stop function, which returns to the run position automatically for effortless restarting. Side-mounted chain tensioning makes it safe and easy to adjust chain tension, while the captive nuts on the sprocket cover eliminate the risk of losing parts during maintenance.
Chain lubrication is equally efficient: the controlled-delivery oil pump lets you reduce chain oil consumption by up to 50% in the ‘E’ setting, or increase flow when working in dry wood or with longer guide bars. The STIHL Ematic system ensures precise oil distribution, reducing overall consumption while guaranteeing reliable chain lubrication.
