The STIHL MS 151 C-E is the lightest rear-handled chainsaw in the STIHL range, designed for pruning, snedding, hedge-laying and cutting smaller limbs. This upgraded version of the MS 151 features a new STIHL 2-MIX engine, with a redesigned cylinder, piston and exhaust. These improvements increase power by up to 1.05 kW and boost torque by 15% to 1.1 Nm, while still retaining the lightweight feel of the saw. Combined with STIHL four-channel technology, the engine delivers strong performance with lower fuel consumption by guiding the fuel-air mixture into the cylinder more efficiently for cleaner combustion and improved power output.
Starting is made simple thanks to STIHL ErgoStart, which reduces the effort needed to start the chainsaw. A smooth, even pull on the starter cord is all that is required, with the engine starting quickly and reliably even at a slow pulling speed. The manual fuel pump further reduces the number of starting strokes needed, especially after longer breaks in operation, helping you get to work faster.
For added comfort during use, the saw is equipped with the STIHL anti-vibration system. Buffer and spring elements reduce the transmission of vibrations to the handle area, making the chainsaw more comfortable to hold and helping to reduce fatigue during longer periods of work.
Maintenance is straightforward thanks to the side-mounted chain tensioner, which allows the chain to be re-tensioned quickly, safely and easily through the sprocket cover. The shroud can also be opened in one movement without tools, making air filter cleaning quick and convenient. A compensator in the carburettor helps maintain consistent engine performance, exhaust quality and fuel consumption even as the air filter becomes dirty, reducing the need for frequent cleaning.
Additional features such as tool-free fuel and oil caps make refilling simple, with a bayonet closure that allows the tanks to be opened and closed in just a few steps.
