To improve comfort and control, the saw is fitted with the STIHL anti-vibration system, which significantly reduces vibrations transmitted to the handles, allowing for less fatigue and greater precision during extended periods of use. The lightweight guide bar keeps the saw perfectly balanced while minimising overall weight, and the fold-out suspension hook allows the tool to be easily secured to a harness or rope when working at height.
Maintenance is straightforward thanks to the HD2 air filter with compensator, which maintains consistent engine performance even as the filter becomes dirty, reducing the need for cleaning. The side-mounted chain tensioner allows for quick and protected re-tensioning of the chain, while the captive nuts on the sprocket cover prevent loss during maintenance.
